Tyler and I had a fight earlier over google chat. I think mostly we were misunderstanding what the other wanted to talk about. So I ended up crying and feeling like he didn't care (in the end I realized I wasn't really specifying what I wanted to go back and talk about). So I was upset and we were arguing over some little, unimportant thing which I thought was his fault and he thought was mine. In reality we were both trying not to argue about it and to talk about what we wanted to, but both of us ended up upset, he said he felt sick. I wanted to resolve things right then and there, but he said he needed to take a 10 minute break to calm down. So I was sobbing for that whole time, then he came back online and we both calmed down and talked about it.
In essence, we both felt like the other wasn't listening to us when we said we were upset because we were both concentrating on that we felt bad. In the end, I took a little more responsibility for it because I wasn't clarifying what I wanted to talk about. He really appreciated me stepping up to that and we both felt sorry for hurting the other, especially me because he's always putting my needs before his so the one time he needed me to put his first, I was upset as well. But I don't feel so bad, he's said it's fine, so we've moved on past that arguement. Even went back to talk about what I was wanting to in the beginning. And calmly discussed why we'd gotten upset.
In the end, we've both got things for each other. I gave him a picture of me wearing only his jacket like he's been wanting (nothing actually shows). And his for me is even better. He's going to wear the same t-shirt to bed for quite a while until it smells alot like him, then give it to me because i've been smelling his jacket (which i have to give back tomorrow lol) for the whole time i've had it.
This is our first real fight. I'm not concerned, though. I know it's perfectly fine to have disagreements and to get upset. It's very nice to know that we can resolve our arguments reasonably and maturely. And now we're talking like our old selves again.
