Dear Daddy,

I haven't called you that in awhile, but I know you love it when I do. I wanted you to know that I'll always be your little girl. The girl you never understood, but always stayed up late talking to, because you missed me and you knew I missed you. I loved our movie nights when we went to every Harry Potter movie and I took you to Breaking Dawn with me, because you wanted to see werewolves. I love it when you let me listen to my music as loud as I want in the house. I love our Christmas movie marathons we always have the days leading up to Christmas. (Even though you call me heartless when I don't cry at the end). I love that you never judge me, you just say, "You're my daughter, I love you no matter what."

You'll always be my hero, since you always stood by my side when Mom yelled at me. You're my hero because you're always there to pick me up no matter how late it is. And when I was out late, you would stay by the phone, just in case I called.

I'm sorry, I never trusted you enough to tell you everything, even though you told me everything. I'm sorry, I thought all those mean things about you when I was younger. I forgive you for all the times you last you're temper with me and called me names, you made up for that by cheering me on at graduation and now through college. Thanks for not being over-protective. You're the best dad a girl could ask for.

Always and Forever,
"Shortstuff"
