Caring for guinea pigs
By Dez (Wheek!)
Guinea pigs make great furry friends. However, many people believe that these animals are “starter pets” that do not need a lot of work. Guinea pigs actually do require daily care, and meeting their basic needs is sometimes costly. Here are some tips for caring for guinea pigs.
Environment
Guinea pigs need a comfortable place to call their home. Many of the enclosures found in a pet store are much too small to accommodate these animals and can...

Creating life long friends.
By Jade
I joined TeenHelp when I was 13 years old,and I will be turning 25 in 2 weeks. I joined because my parents were getting divorced, I was depressed, struggling with typical teen struggles, along with the divorce, moving from parent to parent, etc. I was thankful to find this page and become an active member. I received some really great advice, and I remember feeling so much better after reading responses to my post and realizing someone actually cared.

A quick review of Five Nights at Freddy’s
By Chess ( *~Skittles Martinski~* )
In August 2014, a new point-and-click horror survival game was released via Desura and Steam, becoming a hit with critics and gamers alike. The Single Life, Part One
By Dave (dr2005) and Katrina
As one enters adolescence, the pressures of being in a relationship are intensified, perhaps by the social networking relationship statuses open for the public to see, or the tendency to feel as though all of one’s friends are in relationships. As we’ve all seen in the movies, teenaged relationships can grow into marriages of “high school sweethearts,” and others still can turn into long term relationships stretching into the twenties....

Taking a break in a romantic relationship
By Robin (PSY)
Taking a break in a romantic relationship can either help or hinder a couple's ability to work through conflict; therefore, it is important to approach a break in a healthy manner, regardless of whether or not the decision to take a break is mutual. Various events can lead a couple to consider taking a break, such as a major life change or hardship (e.g., moving to another state or losing a loved one), an ongoing issue (e.g., an...

February 14th: Just Another Day
By Cheyenne (Come As You Are)
Valentine’s Day is the bane of many a single person’s existence. The sudden influx of roses, chocolates and love songs is enough to do anyone’s head in. Many, myself included, argue that Valentine's Day isn’t even a real holiday. It’s an excuse for Hershey’s and Hallmark to charge unreasonable prices for their wares all in the name of romance.
As you can probably see, this isn’t an article about what to get your girlfriend for...

Is your relationship healthy?
By Ada (you'rebeautiful) and Robin (PSY)
There are many reasons for a person to seek out a romantic relationship. For the sake of both people involved, however, it is important to ensure that the relationship is a happy and healthy one. Many people fail to make a distinction between the two. For example, one can be happy with their relationship, but exhibit signs of co-dependence. Relationships can also be fun and passionate, but lack the necessary components...

Maintaining effective communication with your partner
By Sammi (Metanoia.)
One of the most common pieces of advice people offer when a new relationship starts is to communicate with your partner about topics such as boundaries and expectations. During those beginning stages, it's common for couples to talk about everything, big and small. However, as relationships progress, those open conversations often start to dwindle, especially regarding the more mundane topics like little annoyances....

Stick to the same sleep schedule. If you woke up at 7 am during the summer months, try not to sleep in for longer in winter; this includes weekends. Place your alarm clock further away so that you are not tempted to hit the snooze button.
Stay connected with friends and family, and plan get togethers. Consider joining a support group, as sharing your experiences and learning about what others find helpful can be very beneficial.
Spend time out of the house, and make use of the natural...
